mattheo riddle x reader
synopsis - reader transfers to hogwarts from ilvermorny. she and mattheo fall in love with each other at first sight.
warnings - none, i think?
listened to while writing - the alchemy by taylor swift
i have a clara bow theo one in the works right now that i'm excited to drop at some point. ngl this gif of benjamin in deadly class inspired this idea A LOT.
part two?
slytherin boys works
you waited with baited breath outside of the great hall.
any moment now the doors would swing open and albus dumbledore, who you knew only through legend, would announce your transfer to hogwarts.
it was terrifying honestly. leaving ilvermorny was indescribably difficult. but when your father got a job opportunity at the british ministry of magic, it was decided. already you were feeling overwhelmed. you'd done your research but hogwarts was much larger than ilvermorny. it was much older as well, and thus had gained a reputation over a thousand years of producing some of the greatest witches and wizards the world has ever seen.
the large magnificent doors opened and every pair of eyes was on you.
you walked forward with sweaty palms, subtly attempting to dry them on your plain, black hogwarts robes. another change. the wardrobe was much more strict here than back in america. and where every student at ilvermorny wore the same blue and gold, students at hogwarts wore colors representative of their house.
finally, you reached the end of the walkway and stood face to face with a dusty and rather ancient looking hat. to your light surprise, it spoke. a woman whom you'd met briefly beforehand, professor mcgonnagall, picked up the hat gently and motioned for you to sit on the stool.
it was time to be sorted into one of hogwarts four houses. you'd been in wampus, the house of the warrior, at ilvermorny, and despite hours of research, you couldn't distinguish what the hogwarts equivalent would be. all four houses seemed to be good choices but there was one in particular that stood out to you.
no shorter or longer than exactly fifteen seconds after the sorting hat touched your head, a declaration was made.
"slytherin!"
an older student in green robes gestured you over to the table on the far right. not wanting to sit at the very front and continue to be gawked at, you briskly walked a little further down and took a seat at the middle of the table.
once you'd taken your seat, dumbledore began to explain that hogwarts would be hosting the triwizard tournament this year. after a flashy introduction from beauxbatons and durmstrang, you effectively decided that you were not the most interesting shiny new toy at hogwarts this year and silently thanked the universe for this turn of events.
at last, it was announced that you could eat and the tables filled with food. all around you students' plates began magically creating complex dishes. there were even some dinners that held food that you were sure you couldn't see anywhere on the table.
frustrated, you stared down at your empty plate. it was a long journey to hogwarts. you were hungry and quite frankly tired of things being so different. if one more complicated situation made its appearance at this school, you were undoubtedly going to lose it.
"just think about a food you really want to eat. it can be anything."
a boy next to you with brown hair and bright blue eyes leaned over. a thick italian accent levied on his deep voice.
you closed your eyes and thought about a delicious juicy cheeseburger with golden-crisp french fries. sure enough, when you opened your eyes, your plate had filled with food.
absolutely giddy with glee, you turned to thank the mystery man.
"no problem. i'm theodore nott. this is draco malfoy next to me."
the platinum blonde boy didn't even look up to acknowledge your existence. theodore, seemingly sensing your mild displeasure, spoke up.
"don't mind him. welcome to slytherin house. riddle, say hello to our newest recruit."
the dark haired boy directly across from you who you assumed was 'riddle' did in fact look over from his conversation with a boy with a chestnut colored complexion. yet, when your eyes found his, he didn't say hello.
he didn't say anything actually. he just sort of stared. as you held eye contact, it was like lightning running through your veins and sizzling at your fingertips.
for a moment, you wondered if he'd ever seen a person before.
then, as if he'd snapped out of a daze, a gentle smile played at his lips. dark curls fell over his brown eyes that seemed to sparkle the longer you looked at them.
his large hand crept over the table until it was outstretched towards you with a kind smile.
"mattheo."
you shook his hand with a shy smile. mattheo was currently looking at you like you were the only thing that mattered. in fact, your little interaction had gone on so long that theodore and the boy mattheo had been speaking with had both strucken up conversation with other students at the table.
"y/n."
mattheo eyed your appearance. his gaze flickered across your face, then to your hair, and all over the parts of your body he could see.
"sorry if this is a little awkward, but i can't remember the last time i was this captivated by someone." mattheo finally released your hand and you had to stop yourself from begging him not to.
"welcome to slytherin house. you're in the snake's nest now, beautiful."

↳ mattheo riddle x fem!reader (cousin’s best friend)
↳ word count : 0,6k
𝑠𝑚𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑦 : mattheo riddle has never done feelings, but that was until draco’s french cousin transferred from beauxbatons
✩✩✩✩
you were “untouchable”. that’s what everyone thought. that’s what everyone said. the first word pronounced when someone mentioned you. the “mysterious french girl” the “exchange student from beauxbatons” and most of all “draco malfoy’s cousin”. you couldn’t go anywhere in this school without hearing those words. everyone knew better when it came to daring looking your way or crossing your path.
as mean and cold as he looked, your cousin draco had a habit of being quite overprotective when it came to you. since you had transferred to hogwarts a couple of months ago, you had never been seen without him and his friends. the slytherin boys all had quite the reputation in this school, and ever since draco had introduced you to them, you knew the other students would leave you alone.
however, the “untouchable” rule came to your cousin’s friends too. they knew better than that, and to be honest you didn’t care much. enzo was caring, blaise was loyal, theo was compassionate, but what you and them had was purely platonic. the only person to whom that rule didn’t apply was the one and only mattheo riddle. the captivating brunette had been draco’s ride or die since first year and unfortunately for you, that meant you had to spend a lot of time together. but for some reason, the boy always seemed to be avoiding you. it wasn’t obvious at first but you had started to notice it in the little things, like when he’d leave the great hall everytime you sat at their table or go for a cigarette break when you approached the boys at a party. “what did i do to make him hate me ?” you often thought. “he doesn’t even know me…”
you always ended up brushing it off by talking and joking with the other guys, who unlike mattheo, were always here for you. what you didn’t know was that the dark lord’s son didn’t hate you, he just hated what you made him feel. the way his heart fluttered when you were around was nothing but platonic, wich is why he always felt like bolting when you approached him.
but what could he do ? you were breathtakingly beautiful. hell, captivating even. the way your hair was always perfectly falling around your face like an angel. how you made the cutest sound when you laughed at his friends’ jokes. and that sweet accent of yours didn’t help. every word that rolled out of your tongue made him lose his mind. the minute you had walked inside the great hall back in september, he knew he was done for. “they weren’t lying when they said french people were attractive”. imagine what he felt when right after being sorted into slytherin, you ran into draco’s arms. did his best friend have a girlfriend ? how could he have missed that ? he was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard “meet my cousin, y/n y/l/n”. and that’s when he realised the mess he was in.
mattheo riddle wasn’t known to be a romantic guy, he didn’t do feelings. the only times he was seen with girls were during drunk make out sessions at parties, or quickies in broom closets when he needed some relief. all his life, he had stayed away from love and its problems. the “untouchable” girl was the compete opposite. you were a hopeless romantic, saving yourself for the perfect romance you had read and dreamt about ever since you were little. and most of all, you were his best friend’s little cousin. he knew he should’ve stayed away from you, and he really tried.
but everything changed after that one time…

my lifeline | m.r.
synopsis: in which you're his only purpose in life
my masterlist
Mattheo had always had it rough.
Being the son of the Dark Lord brought enough complications to his life, let alone being at school with people who only made fun of him because of that.
It wasn’t fair. Nothing about his life seemed fair, but he had no choice about it. He couldn’t change who he was, no matter how much he wanted to.
But he could change the way he viewed himself.
And he did.
From the moment you had entered his life.
You transfering to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons had probably been the best thing that had ever happened to him.
Watching you timidly walk towards the Sorting Hat, anxiously waiting for it to speak and tell you which house you would join, seeing the sweet smile you had given the Slytherins once you joined them at their table and just so happened to have been sitting right across from him.
He knew, from the moment you had looked at him with your bright eyes, that he was a goner.
Over the course of your first weeks at the school, Mattheo had been the one to welcome you the best, always offering to show you around the castle, help you study or simply just keep you company while you would do homework together.
Pansy had also become your friend, very eager to have another girl in the friend group.
Pansy was also the first person to find out about your crush on the curly haired bad boy.
It didn’t come as a surprise, really. With the amount of time you had been spending together ever since you came to the school, the countless walks you had been on with him when the both of you had free time, the charming smiles he would give you whenever he would look at you.
He had you mesmerized and he didn’t even realize.
The holidays had proved to be the perfect opportunity for Mattheo to finally tell you what he was feeling, right before you left for home.
“Y/N!” he had called out for you as you were struggling to carry your luggage down the countless pairs of stairs towards the castle entrance.
You turned around, a smile immediately appearing on your kind face. The kind of smile that made the butterflies in Mattheo’s stomach go crazy.
“Hey, Mattheo. I was just about to leave for the train, I didn’t want to be late” you explained, gesturing towards your trunk.
You didn’t know if you should have said anything else, knowing that his father and him probably didn’t want to have anything to do with each other and he had no reason to want to go home for the holidays.
“I know, and I wanted to catch you just before you left. I wanted to tell you something that I’ve been putting off for the entire semester” he said, scratching the back of his neck.
You nodded, signaling that you were listening.
He let out a breath before speaking up once again.
“I like you, a lot. Ever since you transferred here, you’ve been on my mind. I’ve come to look forward to every minute that I get to spend with you, regardless of what we do. I just wanted to know if you would like to go on a date with me once you get back?” he asked, making you smile.
All the daydreams about what it would be like to be with him, to know that he was just yours, they were finally going to happen after so much lost time.
“Your timing really sucks” you joked, making him blush and nod. “But my answer is yes” you added before quickly leaning up to kiss his cheek and left.
Unbeknownst to you, the moment you had turned around and couldn’t see him anymore, he fist-bumped the air and did a little happy dance, being sure that nobody would see him and tarnish his bad boy reputation.
Typical.
During the time you spent away, you guys exchanged several letters, in most of them Mattheo was complaining about how slow the time was passing and how eager he was to see you again and take you out.
Which he did, the hour right after you had got back to Hogwarts.
Your date had been amazing, sipping your favorite warm drinks at the Three Broomsticks, browsing around your favorite shops in Hogsmeade, and then finally ending with a goodnight kiss right at the bottom of the stairs leading to your bedroom.
The news that you had become a couple spread around as quickly as a disease would. Gossip traveled very fast around a school full of teenagers, especially when it involved someone with a reputation like Mattheo.
Being seen together in front of the whole school had been something you were weary of, ever since he had asked you out; mainly because it was no news that your now boyfriend was a very handsome lad, and a good number of the girls from every house had a thing for him.
Imagine now, with him dating you, it had automatically put a big target on your back.
But not to worry, Mattheo was there for you.
“People are staring” you told him on the morning of your first breakfast together as a couple, a day after everyone had got back from holiday.
“So? Let them stare, I don’t care” he said, shrugging his shoulders and pulling you closer to him.
You gulped, noticing more and more girls whispering and looking at you over their shoulders, frantically it was more like glaring deep into your soul.
“Easy for you to say, you don’t have the entire female population of this castle hoping your head would explode so they can take your place” you had meant for it to sound like a joke in order to not worry Mattheo, but he had seen right through it.
Following your gaze, he had noticed just how much attention there was on you that morning. He cleared his throat, glaring at every single girl right back, which then prompted them to blush and turn away from you guys.
“Don’t worry about other people, they know nothing about us and they’re just jealous” he whispered to you, planting a kiss on your temple in comfort.
You knew that he was right, that you just had to drown everyone out and just focus on Mattheo and what you had.
And that was exactly what you did.
Months went by very quickly, making your relationship with Mattheo only blossom more and more with each passing day. The love shared between you was more intense than anything either of you had experienced before.
You two helped each other, motivated and encouraged one another. You helped him deal with his problems, listened to him whenever he needed to unwind and just talk to someone about his home, about what his childhood was like and what being Voldemort’s son had done to him.
You slowly helped him out of his shell, making him open to you more and more each passing day, making sure he was comfortable whenever he was around you and always made sure he was okay, no matter where you were or what the circumstances were.
You became what he needed, his savior.
A lifeline to pull him back to reality when he would need it the most, whenever he would feel like he was about to fall off the edge.
You were his life.

Pretty Boy
Pairing: Harry Potter x reader
Summary: everyone knew you had a thing for the boy who lived, everyone, that is, except for Harry himself.
Word Count: 1.3k
Warnings: Harry is so soft in this it's insane so take this as your warning
Masterlist
✰ ✰ ✰
It wasn't like you were hiding anything.
You prided yourself in being very direct, and very much a go-getter. After transferring from Beauxbatons, you made quick friends at Hogwarts, even with Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
With Harry, you very quickly became fond of the quirky things he would say, and how flustered he would get when you were around.
Some people called you a flirt, but you liked to think you were just really clear about what you wanted.
Him.
You just weren't sure if he felt the same way about you.
"So, (Y/N)." Hermione said as you, her, Harry and Ron walked out of potions class. "Did you want to study for the exam with us? I figure I could use as much help to make sure these two know what they're doing."
"Hey!" Ron complained, "I happen to be smart sometimes too, Hermione. You're not the only one with a brain."
"You're right, Ron." Hermione said. "(Y/N) has a brain as well, that's why I've asked her to come study with us."
Ron rolled his eyes with a grumble.
"I think that'd be nice," Harry softly said.
You grinned. "Well if Harry wants me there, of course I'm down."
His cheeks turned pink as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Ron snickered and playfully elbowed Harry a couple of times. Harry swatted him away; the pink on his cheeks growing a darker shade.
Harry sheepishly smiled at you. "O-of course I want you there!" He stuttered.
You smirked at him. "Don't worry, pretty boy, I promise I'll be there."
Harry's mouth fell open slightly, as Ron started laughing. "Harry, close your mouth for Merlin's sake!" Ron teased Harry by pointing at his parted lips.
Harry swatted Ron's hands away from his face with a scowl. "Shut up, Ron," he muttered.
You laughed. "I'm just gonna catch up to you guys later. Bye, Harry." You sent a wink in his direction as you walked away. Ron's cackling laugh boomed through the hallway as you left.
✰ ✰ ✰
"Hey, (Y/N)!"
You had started walking down the hallways to get to the Gryffindor study hall where you were supposed to meet up with the golden trio when Luna stopped you.
"Hey, Luna!" You smiled as she walked towards you. "Where were you today? I didn't see you in herbology today."
Luna had been one of your closest friends outside of Hermione, Ron, and Harry. She was fun to talk to, and pretty much knew everything about you already and vice versa.
"Yeah," she smiled, "I was off in the woods taking a walk. It's very nice out there this time of year, you know that?"
You nodded, "oh yeah, it really is."
"So where are you heading off to?"
"Hermione invited me to help them study for the potions exam we've got coming up."
"Oh!" She grinned, "will Harry be there?"
You giggled, "he will be there. Did I tell you he specifically said he wanted me to come with them! I just about died, Luna, like my heart was fluttering like crazy."
Luna chuckled, "You guys need to get together already! Unless you're keeping it a secret from me," Luna squinted her eyes at you playfully.
You laughed. "No, we're not dating. Not yet at least." You winked at her.
"Ahem," a throat cleared behind you.
Turning around, you saw Harry standing there, a bewildered look on his face, and a red burning in his cheeks.
"Um," he stuttered, "I didn't mean to interrupt, I just wanted to make sure you were still coming to the study hall."
Slowly, you turned back to Luna who gave you a sorry smile.
"Well," she said, "I'm going to leave you two alone. I'll see you later, (Y/N/N)." With that, she walked away, leaving you alone with the boy who basically just heard you telling Luna you wanted to date him.
You looked back to Harry with a soft smile. Even though you laid your flirting on so thick with Harry, that wasn't as scary as this. Flirting was innocent. If he didn't reciprocate your feelings, you could always act like you were just messing around.
Now, though, it was the real deal. Even if you looked composed on the outside, you were freaking out quite a bit on the inside.
"Yeah, I'll be there." You smiled, "I'd never ditch my favorite boy."
Harry choked on a gasp.
"You okay?" You asked, stepping a little closer to him.
Harry gazed up at you with confusion, but also intrigue.
"What are you doing?" He asked softly.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean like-like with me? Why do you say things like that to me?"
Instinctively, you took a step back. "I'm sorry? I didn't know you felt some type of way about how I acted." You felt horrible. Maybe you had done a little too much. Maybe you had flirted too hard and too blatantly that it scared him off.
"No!" He practically shouted. "No, I mean, ahem, I mean I don't feel any type of way about it. I mean, yeah I feel some type of way, but not like- not like a bad way, if that makes sense. I mean more like in a good way, you know? But also, like in a confused way. I'm not sure, I mean, I like when you say things like that to me, but it's also confusing because why would you say things like that to me?" Harry rambled on.
You couldn't help but chuckle a little.
He looked up at you when you laughed, and gave you a sheepish smile. "Too much?" He asked.
You shook your head with a smile. "No, just enough. So you don't think I come off too strong when I flirt with you?"
Harry grinned. "So you are flirting with me!"
You chuckled, "I would hope you consider that flirting. I'm not sure if you know this, but I don't go around calling too many people 'pretty boy' or 'my favorite boy'."
He blushed. "Yeah, that's what Ron said, but I didn't believe him. I just can't believe out of all the guys that like you, you like me instead."
You smiled, "So Ron told you I liked you?"
"Well, he may have mentioned it a time or two or twenty," he chuckled, "I just didn't believe him."
"How could I not like you? You're Harry, you're incredibly sweet, and selfless, and so much more. Anyone with eyes would like you, Harry."
His face turned ten shades of red. "That's how I feel about you, too, (Y/N). But with you, it's just obvious everyone loves you. You walk in a room and every single head turns. You laugh, and the birds start singing. You smile, and the sun quivers from how bright you light the place up."
With every word coming from Harry's lips, you found yourself more and more drawn to him. Your heart beat erratically.
"I didn't realize you thought so highly of me." It was your turn to blush now. You could feel your face getting incredibly hot by the sweet words he spoke. You never thought Harry would like you back, especially not as intensely as he's describing. Frankly, you didn't know he had such a way with words.
"I think you're incredible, (Y/N), and if you would let me, I'd like to take on a-a date sometime?" He suggested.
You grinned at him and grabbed his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I'd love to, Harry."
He grinned, and held on tight to your hand.
For a minute there, the two of you just stared at each other, smiling. You started to giggle. "As much as I would love to stay here like this, we promised Hermione we would study with her and Ron."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Harry admitted, sheepishly.
You chuckled, "come on, let's not keep them waiting, pretty boy."
Harry grinned. "I like that nickname."
"I like you."

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 he had over his twenty-four years of existence.
His first dream was at the tender age of three after his mother surprised him with a trip to Diagon Alley. When nightfall came, the Sandman put him to sleep, drawing images of the alley's bustling stores and magical people behind his eyelids.
His second dream was at seven years of age. It had been a few years since the loss of his mother, and he had come to terms with the painful reality that her ghost did not linger within the desolate corridors of Nott Manor. But her soul and her memories seemed to still echo in his head.
The third dream was the catalyst that set off a chain reaction, unleashing a plethora of heavenly promises and alternate realities. It marked the beginning of one of the best stories he had ever read and one in which he had serendipitously played a role in curating. It happened when he was fourteen.
Hogwarts was abuzz with excitement as it hosted the renowned Triwizard Tournament. Though he wasn't particularly enthralled by his school and its whimsical attractions, let alone the two other visiting schools participating in the tournament, he had no idea how profoundly this event would impact his life. Everything changed when the girls from Beauxbatons Academy gracefully entered the scene, and amidst them was a certain witch with the most mesmerizing, iridescent eyes that instantly captured his attention.
Y/N Y/L/N—that had been the name of the witch who occupied his dreams for years on end. Though today she was known as Y/N Nott, his remarkably beautiful and majestic wife.
Tonight, just like every other night, Theodore sat on his bed. He would lovingly observe the gentle rise and fall of Y/N's chest as she peacefully slept beside him. In recent times, she often kept one hand tenderly clasping his while the other lovingly cradled her pregnant belly, an undeniable symbol of the beautiful life they were bringing into the world.
And like a magnet calling for the metal, Theodore’s hands would always wander to the life they had created, astounded by the little flutters he felt both against his palms and in his heart.
Y/N truly was his dream. And she was entirely his.
“Why are you not sleeping?” she murmured without prior notice, prompting Theodore to look at her. Her eyes were barely open, tiredness dominating her every feature.
Theodore was cautious not to engage in conversation with her, not wanting to risk waking her from her peaceful slumber. Instead, he propped himself up on one elbow, using his free hand to gently play with her hair. He lovingly brushed away the stray locks that caressed her face and used his index finger to twirl some of the strands. A playful smirk adorned his lips, knowing that the action almost always lulled Y/N into an undisturbed sleep—and he could already see her eyes fluttering shut.
But then, she abruptly shook her head, forcing her eyes to open.
“Y/N,” Theodore chastised, giving her a pointed look.
“Theo,” she replied, drawing out the last vowel.
Theodore snorted at her antics, and for some reason, he recalled the lazy days he spent with her in his bed at Hogwarts in the years following her transfer to the school.
She shifted closer to Theodore’s side—maybe she thought that moving around might sober her up. She cupped his face, angling it closer to hers. “Why are you awake?”
“I’m just thinking, butterfly.” He shook his head with a subtle laugh, his hands caressing her lips and pulling her bottom lip down. He only released it when he was sure her pout would mold into a relaxed smile.
“About?”
“Us three.”
Theodore observed the puzzled expression taking over his wife's features. She blinked owlishly while languidly processing his words. As his thumb gently brushed against her pregnant belly, her gaze shifted downward, and a melodious giggle escaped her lips.
“What about us three?”
“Nothing in specific,” he replied, grinning like a Cheshire cat. He already swooned whenever Y/N used the word “us.” But to hear it accompanied by a number that reflected a product of their ardent devotion? It filled his heart with love.
“I’m sleepy, Theo. Be specific, please.”
Merlin, Theo smiled. If this is a dream, I hope it lasts forever.
“I’m just really happy, Y/N,” Theodore elaborated.
Y/N mirrored the winsome smile that he radiated. She leaned in closer, positioning herself between his legs with her knees firmly planted on the mattress. Tilting her head to the right, Theodore's attention wandered between the still-visible hickeys on her neck, which had yet to fade away since two nights prior, and her lovely little belly.
“I want to straddle you,” she said after putting both her hands on his broad shoulders. “But I’m too big, and I can’t figure out a comfortable position that doesn’t involve me squishing you.”
Theodore’s uproarious laughter flooded the entire room. He found it both amusing and ludicrous that Y/N would think that. Wordlessly, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her toward him until his chest cushioned her back, and his hands wrapped nicely and securely around her middle.
“This is my favorite position.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow at her husband’s remark. “Huh. Since when did Cowgirl stop being your favorite?”
“Y/N.” Theodore rolled his eyes. He buried his head in her neck, teasingly biting her. She giggled, trying to push him away. “No straddling, riding, or exerting yourself while pregnant.”
“But—”
“No buts,” Theodore deadpanned. “Go back to sleep, butterfly. Not getting enough sleep is bad for the baby.”
“But how can I sleep when my baby is awake?”
“Is he now?” One of Theodore’s hands combed through Y/N’s hair while the other rubbed soothing circles on her belly.
The placid movements made her eyes flutter, but she blinked away the exhaustion at once. “Not my little prince,” she whispered. Her eyes landed on Theodore. “My little king.”
Pink dusted Theodore's cheeks in response to the comment. He had never realized how much he yearned for even the tiniest and most tender displays of affection until Y/N entered his life.
He basked in her warm words, bumping his nose gently with hers. “I love you. But I will love you even more if you get some rest.”
Y/N pouted. And Merlin, it was physically impossible for Theodore to do anything but smile at her reaction. “Not before you do.” She glared at him, and he held her gaze. A moment passed, then two, and then three. An errant yawn escaped Y/N's mouth, and she unintentionally blinked. She inwardly reprimanded herself at the realization. “Let me read you a story then.”
“A story?” Theodore asked amusedly.
“Hmm. It’s good practice for when the baby comes.”
“No, Y/N.” Theodore shook his head. “I know what you’re trying to do.”
“I’m not trying to do anything,” Y/N shrugged innocently.
“Lying little witch.”
“Overprotective big oaf.”
“Oaf, you say?” Theodore raised an eyebrow while Y/N laughed. “Alright, you’ve done it.”
Instantly, Theodore flipped her over, making her back softly land on the mattress. He tickled her ever so gently, planting kisses all over her neck, cheeks, and body, eliciting delightful giggles from her until she let out that long, familiar sigh of contentment. Within minutes, she had drifted into a peaceful slumber, leaving him to gaze affectionately at her and the beautiful life they had created together.
As soon as Y/N’s eyes opened, Theodore's absence from the bed struck her, followed by the unnaturally quiet atmosphere around her room. She planted her elbow on the mattress, and with great effort, though she would never admit it, propped herself up and gazed at her surroundings.
The magical clock on the wall marked eight-thirty in the morning, and Y/N found it odd that Theodore was nowhere in sight. He rarely left her alone, especially since she became pregnant, hardly giving her a minute by herself.
Deciding not to think much of it, she slipped her slippers on and, unceremoniously, made her way out of bed. She was about to call for her husband when the smell of eggs and grilled cheese permeated the air. Her hurried steps echoed through the house as she dashed toward the kitchen.
“You’re making breakfast?”
“Y/N!” Theodore whipped his head in surprise, flying pans and floating juice surrounding him. “I told you to call me if you need anything. Especially if you want to walk down the stairs!”
Y/N completely brushed off his comment, eyes lighting up as one of the spatulas scrambled the eggs. “I’ll set the table.”
“Woah, woah, woah. You’re not doing that.”
“It’s no trouble, really,” she replied, looking down at the arm that blocked her way.
“Y/N—”
"Setting up the table will not break my back, Theo! I can do things even though I’m pregnant."
"I know, Y/N. I know." At this point, it was evident that Y/N's mounting frustration was reaching a tipping point. Theodore had to tread carefully with his words to avoid making her cry or, worse, giving her a reason to ignore him. "It's just that I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed. And, you kind of ruined it."
Y/N's big doe eyes locked onto her husband, a hint of calculation shimmering in her irises, revealed by the tilt of her head. As she placed both hands on her belly, Theodore's composed demeanor couldn't hide his concern and attentiveness.
He never enjoyed seeing Y/N upset, especially when she was pregnant. The mere thought of an upset Y/N during her pregnancy made him uncomfortable.
However, her giggle dispelled all his doubts, and a wave of relief washed over him. Still, his heart felt like it was dunked in the frozen waters of the Black Lake when he saw her skipping ahead, confidently navigating the stairs.
"I can fix it!"
"Y/N! What did I say about the stairs?"
"That I can't walk down the stairs by myself," she cheekily replied, holding onto the railing tightly. His heart clenched just as tightly as he watched her.
"Stay where you are, I'm coming,” Theodore announced.
“Uh-uh-uh. I’m climbing those steps myself, and if you even think about helping me, you won’t be coming until a year after this baby’s born.”
Theodore scoffed, “Don’t threaten me with sex, Y/N. It’s not going to work.”
“I said you won’t be coming, Theo darling," she pointed out matter-of-factly with a wicked grin. Sometimes, it didn't take much to remember that she was sorted into the House of Snakes. "I never mentioned sex.”
Theodore glared at his wife, his tongue poking his cheek. She won. And she knew it.
“One step at a time.”
With a quick wink, she resumed her way up the staircase, calling over her shoulders, “The baby wants strawberries, and I want grapes. Can you fix something, my love?”
“Get in bed safely first, and then I’ll see if you can get your fruits.”
Y/N waved at him from the threshold of their open bedroom door. Once he was sure she was inside, he cursed under his breath. Though, his smile never wavered and only turned into the biggest grin when he started chopping grapes and strawberries.
“Are you sure you don’t need any help?”
Theodore stood proudly, attempting to hide his uncertainty behind a facade of confidence. He wore an expression that asserted, “I am perfectly capable of baking a cake for my wife.”
The chaotic ambiance in the kitchen begged to differ.
The room seemed to be the battlefield from the Third Wizarding War with flour scattered everywhere, eggshells haphazardly discarded on a plate, and cake batter splattered on once-pristine beige walls.
Perched on the bar stool, Y/N attempted to mask her chortle behind the book in her hands. It was a good thing that Theodore was too busy opening and closing cabinets to notice her amusement.
“Theo, my love. I know pureblood Slytherins struggle to admit defeat, but maybe it’s time you retire that apron you’re wearing and let me take care of this cake.”
“Absolutely not,” Theodore refuted with a little too much vigor. The spatula in his hand swayed to the right, causing a generous amount of batter to land on the side of Y/N’s face. “Oh, Merlin! Y/N, I’m so sorry. Are you okay? Did I hurt you? I swear I didn’t mean it!”
Y/N’s nose scrunched in disgust when Theodore approached her side. He cupped her cheeks, but she briskly swatted his hands away. His heart broke, and he stepped back with dimmed hazel eyes.
“You utter nincompoop, Theodore Nott!” With a horrified expression, Theodore watched Y/N rush to the sink and splash her face with water. A goblet of cold water came flying to her hands after she snapped her fingers, and she gulped it down at once. “That smelled foul! I don’t want to imagine how it tastes. Throw that bowl away. Right now.”
He did so immediately. He looked down at the gooey mixture, stifling a scowl. “Maybe it’s better if I buy a cake.”
“Or, hear me out. I should make one.”
“You’re not exerting yourself.”
“Theodore, darling. Baking a cake is a breeze. It’s you who struggles to even boil water.”
“I don’t struggle to boil water,” Theodore grimaced. One look from Y/N, and he was left evaluating his response. His eyes wandered to the slight mess he had created in the kitchen and then to his pouting wife, who looked absolutely ethereal with her round belly. He was starting to cave. Damn, that witch. “No! Don’t look at me like that. I’m getting you a cake. One you’re not making.”
“But—”
“No buts. In fact, I’m going right now,” Theodore said in a rushed tone. He knew that if he even looked at her for one second longer, he couldn’t remember what letters formed the word “no.” He immediately summoned his keys, placing them in his pockets. “I’ll be back in a minute. Don’t touch anything, don’t worry about anything. Just… breathe. Yeah, butterfly?”
Y/N blinked, gazing at her husband. “You too?” she replied unsurely.
Theodore gave her a quick, though impassioned, kiss that almost made her forget where she was and what they were talking about. His hand went to rub the curve of her belly, and she cursed those stupid hormones that made her whimper.
Dazed, she watched as Theodore fetched his coat. He sent her a languid smile, and then, he dashed out of the house and apparated promptly. As soon as she heard the apparition crack, it was like the “Nott Enchantment” was lifted off her, and she could see everything around her much more clearly.
She turned on her heels, carefully studying her kitchen. With a devious grin, she rushed to grab her wand and immediately pointed it at the counter. “Wingardium Leviosa.” The utensils simultaneously launched into the air, followed by the eggshells and the other ingredients on the counter.
Y/N cleared the surface quite easily, directing whatever needed washing to the sink, which was already filling with soap and water, and disposing of the trash. Scourgify was at the tip of her tongue, but deciding that she wanted to revel in her rebellion a little more, she tucked away her wand and pulled the cleaning supplies from the storage.
Immediately, she put on the pink rubber gloves, which Theodore never quite fancied, flexing her fingers in the air and picturing the look of sheer terror on her husband’s face. She poured the surface cleaner on a cloth and began disinfecting the kitchen.
Slowly, but surely, the abysmal smell—courtesy of Theodore’s extraterrestrial baking skills—was replaced with the fresh scent of pine and vanilla. Y/N inhaled these scents, labeling them as one of freedom. Even her baby seemed happier, vehemently kicking her belly and bouncing around.
It didn’t take long before everything was clean. Satisfied, Y/N placed the cleaning supplies under the sink and started putting back the clean utensils. Though, her peace was disturbed by a loud pop.
She shrieked, placing one hand atop her mouth and the other on her belly when it dawned on her that there was now a little less light inside her home than there was a second before.
Looking up, she exhaled a sharp breath when she realized that one of the ceiling’s light bulbs was out.
“It’s a good thing your father isn’t here, my little prince,” Y/N whispered, gently caressing her belly. “He probably would’ve apparated us to the moon, thinking it was a Death Eater or something.”
Once more, she felt her stomach fluttering as her baby’s little kick brought a smile to her face. She couldn’t help but feel grateful that her little boy seemed to be inheriting her sense of humor, and she silently thanked the stars that he might just be a lot less uptight than Theodore.
Merlin seemed to be on her side too, egging her on and encouraging her little streak of rebellion. Without giving it much thought, Y/N rushed to the electrical panel by the kitchen’s wall and spotted the room’s switch.
When they had first moved, Theodore was particularly concerned about muggle electricity, swearing that it was an anti-wizard mechanism that would electrocute them if they came near it. Y/N didn’t believe him. But because she loved him too much to see him losing his precious hair over this trivial matter, she did indulge in his absurdity and kept herself away from the panel.
After her curiosity got the best of her, she decided to ask Fleur, a friend from Beauxbatons and Bill Weasley's wife, about electricity. Knowing that Mr. Weasley, Fleur's father-in-law, had a fascination with muggle devices and technologies, she figured Fleur might have some insights. Additionally, Hermione, Fleur's sister-in-law, being a muggleborn, likely knew a thing or two about it as well.
To her relief, Fleur reassured her that electricity wasn't half as bad as Theodore had made it out to be. With the kitchen switch turned off, Y/N could easily change the light bulb without any risks.
She grabbed her wand, pointed it up, and carefully removed the old bulb. Just as she was almost done placing the new one, she felt a hand snatch away her wand and another grab her waist.
Y/N gasped, feeling herself being pushed against the wall. Her breath was knocked out of her lungs, her eyes peering up in horror until they landed on familiar hazel irises that looked anything but warm.
“What the bloody hell do you think you’re doing?!”
Her annoyed voice mixed with Theodore’s sharp one. She pushed him away from her just as he threw her wand across the room. It clattered on the floor, the noise accompanying Theodore’s labored breath.
“I told you not to do anything!”
“Well, I wasn’t doing anything!”
“You were playing with that muggle death trap, Y/N! All while being pregnant!”
“Oh, get off your rocker, Nott! I turned the electrical switch off before changing the lightbulb,” Y/N argued, gesturing toward the electrical panel.
It was obviously a mistake given how Theodore's face turned as white as snow, and the trembling in his fingers signaled the storm of emotions building within him, about to erupt. “You touched Frank Benjamin’s apparatus of doom?!”
“What?” Y/N made a face after a moment of silence and confusion.
“Did you touch that thing?” Theodore asked, pointing at the panel.
“Yes.”
“Are you mental?”
“I’m starting to think I am after two years of being married to you!”
“Don’t change the subject!”
“Who the bloody hell is Frank Benjamin even?”
“I told you not to change the subject!” Theodore warned.
Y/N was this close to slapping her husband’s obnoxiously handsome face. “You are being awfully dramatic, Theo. Just because Draco told you and Blaise that electricity is a torture device developed by muggles doesn’t mean it’s true!”
“Oh, yeah.” Theodore crossed his arms. Surprisingly, now that Y/N could see the pink and purple paper bag from her favorite bakery in his arms, her husband looked a lot more cute than intimidating. “How’d you know that?”
“I asked Fleur,” she deadpanned. “Oh, and would you look at that? I’m still alive! Looks like Frank Benjamin did a lousy job.”
“We do not say his name in this household, Y/N!” Theodore insisted while stepping closer. He seemingly noticed the bag he was yet to discard in his hands. He placed it on the counter and turned to his wife before he froze in his place. “You cleaned the house?!”
Y/N flung her arms in the air at her husband’s callousness. “Yes! And with those pink gloves you hate so much!”
“I told you not to do anything. I left you for ten minutes!”
“I wish you left me for more. Maybe then I would’ve been able to do the one thing I need more than anything.”
“Which is?” Theodore scoffed.
“Breathe!”
Following her outburst, Y/N’s hand came to rest on her hip while the other landed on her heart. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and let the oxygen flow inside her lungs.
When her eyes fluttered open, the tension that inundated the air slipped. And meeting her on the other side was her Theodore with warm hazel irises and outstretched hands.
“Come here.” He gestured with arms wide open. Y/N dove into his embrace. She had gotten quite better at accommodating her large belly in Theodore’s bear hugs. “I’m sorry if I've been frustrating lately. I just… I just want you to be safe and happy, Y/N. Both of you.”
“We are, Theo. With you, we always are,” Y/N assured him. Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, and she buried her face deeper into her husband’s clothes. His scent invaded her senses, and she had to admit defeat against her hormones.
“Hey. Look at me, butterfly.”
Y/N lifted her tear-stained face. She wanted to let Theodore know it was just her hormones and that there was nothing to worry about, but any modicum of common sense evaporated as soon as Theodore started kissing away the tears.
She exhaled in delight, relishing in the feel of her husband’s lips against her skin. His touch was delicate and ephemeral, yet it left a trail of anticipation and ardor in its way.
“Theo,” Y/N murmured. She cupped his face, her thumb gliding gently over his stubbled jaw. “I love you.”
“You can never love me more than I love you, Y/N Nott," he admitted, caressing her neck, specifically her pulse point. "And maybe, it’s because my affection knows no bounds that I’ve crossed the line from being protective to becoming overbearing. And for that, I truly am sorry.”
Y/N’s heart swelled with affection at his heartfelt words, leaving her momentarily speechless. “I forgive you,” she replied, planting a soft kiss on his neck. Theodore's lashes fluttered in response to her touch. “And thank you for admitting this out loud. I know it must’ve been hard.”
“Oh, it’s not the only thing that’s hard right now.”
“Theo!” Y/N guffawed loudly. She playfully slapped his chest, but he quickly caught her wrists and nuzzled his face in her neck, nipping her sensitive skin. “Stop being promiscuous. I’d like to peacefully eat my cake, please!”
“Why have a cake, Y/N? When I can make you the most fantastic cream pie. It’s going to leave you craving for more,” Theodore whispered huskily in her ear, going as far as licking her earlobe and sucking it gently.
Y/N gnawed at her lower lip, already feeling herself surrendering to Theodore. Curse those stupid hormones and all the times she teased him with sex. Must he retaliate, too? How did they even get to this point?
“After the cake, Theo. Our baby is hungry.”
Theodore stopped then, pressing a soft kiss to Y/N’s temple. He grasped her hand, beaming when she interlaced their fingers together. He watched her as she giddily reached for the strawberry cheesecake he had gotten her, plating two slices, and taking the biggest one for herself.
“This is really good.”
“Better than my cream pie?” Theodore wiggled his eyebrows. He laughed and ducked out of the way of a flying strawberry, effortlessly catching it before it hit the ground. “You missed, my love.”
“Don’t you ‘love’ me, Theodore Nott!” Y/N pointedly addressed him. It was hard to take her seriously with the crumbs on the side of her mouth. "One more sexual innuendo and I'm naming our child Frank Benjamin."
"Absolutely not!" Theodore scowled. He took a bite from his own cake, looking back thoughtfully at his wife. "Though if you do indulge in my cream pie, I'll let you tell Draco and Blaise that we are considering naming our child Frank Benjamin."
Y/N's eyes lit up like a thousand stars twinkling in the night sky, and Theodore couldn't help but feel a euphoric swarm of butterflies dancing in his soul, bringing an overwhelming sense of happiness and warmth to his heart. Her radiant joy illuminated the room, and at that moment, he knew that her happiness was all he ever needed in this world.
Thank you to the lovely nonny who suggested this prompt💚 I hope I did it justice. I always knew that I will be writing for Theo Nott sooner or later, and I'm glad to have started with this piece.
Thank you to everyone who sent me requests; there are loads of Theo fics I'm working on, and I hope to release them as this year progresses.

i like you, and it scares the hell out of me
pair: Fred Weasley x reader requested by anonymous
Hi, could you do Fred Weasley x reader, where all of Fred's life he's hated Slytherins and has always said he would never befriend one much less date one, but reader appears and he starts falling for her while denying it and is maybe a bit of an a**hole to reader because he just doesn't believe he could ever like you, but realizes that reader isn't horrible and that not all Slytherins are monsters, and once they're together everyone teases him about how he would say he would never date a Slytherin but now reader is basically the love of his life Sorry if this is really long
masterlist | navigation | p2
❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿
Fred Weasley had always hated Slytherins. He and George had a running joke about it—one that usually involved some combination of hissing noises and sneers when a Slytherin walked by. It wasn’t even personal most of the time. It was just tradition, passed down from sibling to sibling. The twins were proud Gryffindors through and through, and they knew the unspoken rule: Slytherins were the enemy. Simple as that.
That was, until you showed up.
You were the new Slytherin transfer from Beauxbatons, and somehow you’d ended up in nearly every one of Fred's classes. From the moment he saw the green and silver tie around your neck, he wrote you off. He'd never spoken to you, and he didn't plan on changing that anytime soon.
However, Fred found it harder to ignore you when Professor Flitwick paired the two of you together for a Charms project. You gave him a polite smile, introducing yourself. Fred just crossed his arms and muttered, “Weasley.”
You raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything. It seemed you had better things to do than acknowledge his attitude, which only irritated him more. He didn't like the way you just brushed off his hostility like it was nothing. It made him feel like he was being unreasonable, and Fred Weasley was never unreasonable.
The days passed, and you continued working together, much to Fred's annoyance. You were good at Charms, annoyingly so, and you didn’t seem to care about the house rivalry. You were friendly and witty, often making comments that caught Fred off guard, almost making him laugh. Almost.
“Why do you hate me so much?” you asked one afternoon, finally tired of the silent treatment and the occasional snarky remark Fred threw your way.
“I don’t hate you,” Fred said, leaning back in his chair. “I just don’t trust Slytherins.”You sighed, “You don’t even know me, Fred. You’ve never tried to get to know me.”
“I don’t need to know you,” he shot back. “I know enough. You’re a Slytherin. That tells me everything.”
You rolled your eyes, clearly exasperated, but you didn’t argue. You just went back to your notes, ignoring him for the rest of the session. Fred found himself stealing glances at you, feeling a twinge of guilt he couldn’t quite place. You were just another Slytherin, so why did he care if he hurt your feelings?
Despite his efforts to maintain his distance, Fred couldn’t help but notice the small things about you. How you always offered to help first-years in the library when they looked lost. How you laughed at George’s jokes even when Fred was being cold. How you treated everyone with the same kindness, regardless of their house.
It annoyed him. It annoyed him that you were proving him wrong. He’d always believed Slytherins were cruel, self-serving, and ambitious to a fault. But you… you were proving that wrong every single day.
Then came the day of the Charms project presentation. Fred had barely paid attention to the practice sessions, too busy pretending not to care. But when you stood up in front of the class, presenting with confidence and a slight smile, Fred found himself paying attention.
When it was Fred's turn to speak, he fumbled with his words. You subtly nudged him with your elbow, whispering the lines you’d rehearsed together, and he somehow managed to pull through. The class clapped, and Professor Flitwick awarded them full marks. You grinned at Fred, and he couldn't help but smile back, his first genuine smile toward you.
After class, Fred found himself walking beside you. He was still annoyed at how much he was noticing you, but he couldn’t seem to stop. It was like once he’d started seeing you, he couldn’t look away.
“Maybe you’re not all bad,” he said suddenly, breaking the silence.
You glanced at him, surprised. “Is that a compliment?”
Fred shrugged. “Don’t let it go to your head.”
You laughed, a light, carefree sound that made Fred’s stomach flip. He cursed under his breath. This was exactly what he was trying to avoid. But it was too late. He could feel himself falling, and it terrified him.
Over the next few weeks, Fred tried to keep his distance, but it was useless. You were everywhere he turned, and worse, he found himself wanting to see you. He started sitting next to you in classes, making small talk, and actually trying to be nice. George noticed, of course, and teased him relentlessly about it.
“Looks like Fred’s gone soft,” George said one day, waggling his eyebrows. “Falling for a Slytherin, are we?”
Fred shot him a look. “Shut it, George.”
But he couldn’t deny it any longer. He liked you. Really liked you. You were smart, funny, and kind. You weren’t like the Slytherins he’d made up in his head. And for once, Fred found himself caring more about who you were as a person than the house you were sorted into.
One evening, Fred found you sitting alone by the lake, your nose buried in a book. He hesitated before approaching, his heart pounding in his chest.
“Hey,” he said, hands shoved in his pockets.
You looked up, surprised. “Hey.”
Fred sat down beside you, staring out at the water. “I’ve been an idiot,” he said after a long silence.
You closed your book, giving him your full attention. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, I’ve spent my whole life thinking Slytherins were the enemy. I never even bothered to see people for who they really are,” he admitted. “I was wrong.”
You smiled softly. “That’s a start.”
Fred looked at you, really looked at you, and felt his heart swell. He reached out, taking your hand in his. It felt right, like everything was falling into place.
“I like you,” he said, voice low. “And it scares the hell out of me.”
You squeezed his hand. “You don’t have to be scared, Fred. Not all Slytherins are monsters.”
Fred smiled, leaning in closer. “I’m starting to realize that.”
And when he kissed you, everything else faded away—the rivalry, the jokes, the fear. It was just you and him, and that was all that mattered.
After that, Fred and you were inseparable. The whole school seemed to be in on the joke, teasing Fred about how he’d sworn he’d never date a Slytherin. But Fred didn’t care. He didn’t care about the jokes or the teasing, because he’d found something real with you.
Fred had spent his life hating Slytherins, but now, he couldn’t imagine his life without you in it.

Hi, i really love your ss x reader. MASTERPIECE ✨✨. Can i request this, young severus accidentally shout and slap reader because he is not in the mood to deal with reader after he got bullied by marauders, reader's feeling kinda hurt and she didn't get to tell him she is going to be transferred to other school (beauxbatons) and her feelings. She graduated and become a astronomy professor there after 10 years, then albus wants the reader back to teach at Hogwarts. She then came across into severus, he shocked at her but she just give cold shoulder because of the past. After a few months, Severus then realized what he did to her then says his apologise and his feeling towards reader, he regrets what he did to reader and reader accept it. Kisses and hugs and gazing stars together. You can ignored this if you dont want to or the request is closed😀🔫
TRIGGER WARNING: SLAPPING
She placed her palm on her cheek. It felt warm. But not the one that would comfort her. Tears threaten to spill from her eyes but she closes closes her eyes. She heard him immediately repeating the words sorry but the voice that used to feel like a balm on her pain felt like it was clawing her soul now. Y/n walks away not looking behind, letting her tears fall.
Severus stood there watching the one person who had accepted him turn her back on him. The worst part is that there is no one else to blame but himself. He let the marauders get to him and finally snapped and took it out on Y/n. Part of him wanted to go after her but he knew he didn't deserve her forgiveness.
The following days were hell for Severus. Hogwarts had already been hell for him and Y/n his warm sunshine that helped him get through this hell. But he doesn't have anyone else to blame except himself for how her eyes avoid him as if they were strangers and had not shared their secrets under moonlight far away from everyone. What makes it worse he has not seen her at all. He has looked for her everywhere but no trace of his beloved.
That was until one night he was walking in the corridor and bumped into Dumbledore. The headmaster of Hogwarts felt his heart break as Severus seemed more pale than usual. "Severus, what are you doing here so late at night."
"I don't feel like sleeping" his voice was hoarse
"Are you unwell?"
Severus huffed, he just wanted to have one glance at Y/n. "No...I". Severus couldn't even gather the courage to look into Dumbledore's eyes. He was ashamed of what he had done.
"Severus...what is the matter," Dumbledore asked calmly
Severus groaned, admitting defeat to his inner demons "I can't find Y/n. I messed up....well that is an understatement. I....." He felt tears threatening to leave his eyes but ultimately he couldn't stop the tears when he felt Dumbledor's walk palm on his arm.
"I raised hand at my Y/n....I slapped her." he acknowledged it. Severus couldn't understand if that made it better, but he hated this feeling. He couldn't stop the tears falling down his cheeks. He expected Dumbledore to yell at him, scream at him but he put his hands on his arms.
"Why?"
Severus gulped "The marauders. They got on my nerves. I didn't mean to-" he clenched his eyes "It doesn't matter. I can't find her. I have to talk to her."
"Severus..."
His heart drops. Severus could feel an uneasy heat in his body. "you know where she is"
"She has been transferred to Beauxbatons. She asked me to do so."
Severus sinks down to the floor. He had lost her and now all he could do was stay in darkness and watch time pass by. Dumbledore walks away after all time heals all wounds.
---------
Time didn't heal Severus' wounds. As each year passed he couldn't care less about living. But he lives...he lives for his duty, he lives for the slight hope that maybe he will see her again. Perhaps he will get to hold her in her arms and let her know that he will spend the rest of his life and the lives after that just to let her know how much he loves her, he lives for her.
Just as Severus begrudgingly made his way to the great hall he heard a familiar voice. No. No, it can't be.
He has never run so fast recently, maybe just in youth to escape Potter and his friends. Severus saw her. There she was standing, with warm sunshine bathing her. Y/n L/n. His hand clenched when his eyes fell on her cheeks. Severus is familiar with the feeling of self-hatred, but he loathes himself forever raising his hand to her. So even if his heart was screaming to run to her and take her in his arms, he knew your love for him ended right here in this corridor.
Y/n's eyes fell on him. His heart breaks as her smile drops. Severus knew he deserved it. Suddenly there is a familiar burn on his arm, he endures it. It's a risk he is willing to take to let her know he regrets what he did. "Y/n" his voice boomed across the corridor, she ignores the familiar chill that ran down her spine.
"Severus?" He immediately stopped. It was like she had control over his body. Her eyes. Severus wished he could stop time just so he could look into her eyes, hoping to find a sliver of love for him.
Severus didn't know how to win your heart back. She was about to speak up when he got on his knees, looking at her defeatedly. For the first time since becoming a death eater, Severus looked weak as he looked for mercy from the woman in front of him.
"Severus! What are you doing?" she immediately ran towards him
"Please forgive me." he folds his hand
"Severus...get up"
"There was not one second where I did not regret my action. I love you Y/n...I really do. I shouldn't have raised my hand on you. I don't ever want to raise my hand at you. Please even if you will never love me...please forgive me...I can't live like this." his voice cracks
Y/n looks at him. Even though she missed him, he still broke her heart.
"Say something, please," Severus asked desperately. "I can tolerate anything but not this silence. I have hurt you my love I know. But please give me one chance. One chance to prove how much I regret breaking your heart...how much I love you."
Y/n wipes tears from his cheeks that Severus didn't know were there. "one chance"
---------------
Severus held her hands as he gently tugged her towards the Astronomy Tower.
"Wasn't it enough that I have to spend my day here now you bring me here at night?"
He softly smiles, his velvety voice feeling like a warm blanket to Y/n "I am here making an effort to earn your apology. It doesn't matter how many years it takes but I will do everything to show you how much I mean it."
Severus' breath shuddered as he felt her lips on his forehead. He held back his urge to hold her. Not now. There will be time for that. For now, he was happy to sit beside her and listen to her talk as the stars glimmered in the night sky.
A/N: I am so sorry for the late response I have a big dissertation going on. REBLOG AND COMMENTS APPRECIATED

hii, this is very specific but do you think you could write something involving fem!reader who grew up with sirius and they’re childhood best friends (but it’s only ever going to be platonic between them) and one day she transfers to hogwarts and immediately has a thing for james, however james doesn’t wanna make a move because he thinks her & sirius have some unspoken thing? <3
UNSPOKEN THINGS!
synopsis. growing up with sirius black was easy, but falling in love with his best friend was even easier. however, everything gets complicated — james keeps his distance, overthinking your relationship with sirius.
notes. i wouldn’t lie if i said i didn’t like that request, because i LOVE IT!!!! THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING SM?? obv. james potter x fem!reader. maybe ooc james. gonna make a part 2!
all the good things that had taken place during your childhood had always happened with sirius black by your side. having him next to you was like a pearl you’d never trade for anything. sneaking out at night as children to spend a little more time with each other, pulling small pranks on your siblings, and having a companion for every banquet was something priceless.
you wished that your friendship would survive the sudden shift, caused by your mother’s dream to come back to her roots in southern france, and who was your father to disobey the love of his life? so, he barely turned eleven, when you bid goodbyes, gave him your future address, and hoped he’d write.
since sirius black has always been a man of his words, he did not disappointed you with the amount of letters he’d sent you. some may think that it slowly died down, when you got to school, although it just intensified. you were certain that he told you at least the majority of his stories, confiding in that he was head over heels with remus, his schoolmate.
telling him you were coming back to england was definitely the letter you were delighted to write. seeing him after those years was magical — almost miraculous. unfortunately, something got delayed and you got to london the same day you’d leave for hogwarts.
“sirius!” a laughter left your mouth as soon as you noticed the black-haired boy, standing next to a group of teenagers. before sirius even realized, you threw your arms around his neck, clutching him in a tight hug.
“you’re finally here!” he shouted, lifting you few inches off the ground with a smile, earning a lot of confused looks from all his friends. “couldn’t get any later, could you?” the boy rolled eyes at you, turning his head to face the confused group. “this is y/n, my first best friend.” with that, his arm was thrown around your shoulder, squeezing you a little.
before any of them spoke out, you got at least two seconds to look at them, memorizing their distinguished features, which could help you recognize them later. the boy standing the closest to you, who, you guessed, was james — the only one beside remus that sirius actually put a thought into writing about.
“nice to meet you.” he was first to greet you, embracing you in a short hug, something in his cologne almost made you lightheaded, his scent staying in your mind till falling asleep that night. “sirius couldn’t stop talking about you, always blah blah blah.”
“shut up, could you?” sirius retorted, pulling you away from the potter boy.
few hours later, you were trying to settle in your new dorm, when you heard a knock on the door. “hey.” a head peaked inside before you even got to open them. “am not interrupting something, am i?” potter asked, smile rosing on his lips as he walked in.
“noo, just trying to make this place more like mine, you know?” you smiled back, putting down a few frames with photos of you and your friends back in beauxbatons. “while you’re here, could you help me with putting books on the shelves?” curly-haired boy nodded his head eagerly, before taking a pile of books to put them where you wanted.
it was almost perfect — he was about to put the last one in its place, but something was wrong, and the book fell down, and hit him right in the nose, causing a nosebleed. “shit!” he groaned, immediately grabbing the hem of his shirt, using it like a tissue.
“merde, james i’m so sorry.” you mumbled, embarrassed. the towel quickly found its way to your hand, putting it close to his nose gently. “i’ll try to be as gentle as i can, i promise.” you whispered.
the distance between you was intimidating. his eyes focused on your faces as you carefully tried to stop the bleeding, your cheeks getting warmer with each second his sight was on you. “i’m a man made of steel, it’s fine.” he chuckled, eyes squinting right afterwards.
“i can see that.” you laughed softly, pulling the fabric away, seeing that the bleeding stopped. “don’t worry, you’re still the pretty boy you were before you got here.” blush creeped onto his cheeks upon hearing your comment.
and you stayed like that until sirius stepped into the room without knocking, catching the two of you barely inches away from each other, talking in hushed voices about something insignificant. music you like, movies you want to watch, fun summer stories and anything that found its way to your tounges.
the next few weeks were horrible, having yourself busy with all the workload you got, revising all the things you weren’t taught at your previous school, but they were compulsory at hogwarts. maybe if a certain curly-haired boy wasn’t on your mind 24/7, it’d be easier to study.
“y/n, good to see you!” marlene smiled, grabbing your arm as you were walking back to the common room after the study session you had at the library. “ready for the party?” she asked, grinning widely.
the question had taken you off guard — there was supposed to be a party and you were supposed to be ready by then? to be honest, the amount of time you put into studying, made you so exhausted you were barely standing on your own. on the other hand, the raging urge to impress sirius’ friends (specifically james) was unstoppable, and refusing the party was the last thing on your priority list.
“i’ll be in thirty minutes.” quickly, you matched her smile, stepping into the already crowded gryffindor common room, only to find sirius on the coffee table with james. “guys, this is my best friend, y/n! the party is for her!” your best friend shouted to the people, earning a few laughs and claps.
you laughed along the people, catching a brief glance of james, locking eyes with him for a little too long until he looked away, cheeks tinted pinkish. “geez, pads. let the poor girl change…?” mckinnon shook her head, pulling you away from black.
“so…” she beamed, closing the door behind her. “what’s going on with you and james?” she asked with ease, making herself comfortable on your bed, watching your inept attempts to hide how easy it was for james to make you lit up.
“nothing.” you shrugged. “geez, i feel bad for saying this since he’s sirius’ other best friend, but sometimes i really wish there was something going on. you know, he’s kind, funny, and cute.” a sigh escaped from between your lips as you looked through all the cute dresses your older sister made you buy last summer in italy.
“that’s what i thought.” she giggled, picking up makeup accessories. “well, from the way he looks at you, he seems to think you’re cute too.” she made a pause. “or he’s jealous of you, and doesn’t want to lose sirius.”
upon hearing that you decided to tell the blonde girl about those few evenings, when he just happened to be walking past your dorm and stayed with you for the whole night. “then he’s definitely interested in you.” marlene gasped, immediately jumping onto the spot next to you, grabbing the fitted, silky, red dress. “we’re gonna make him make a move. i swear, this boy won’t be able to stop himself.”
twenty-five minutes later, when you were already done with shower and trying to convince marlene to let you do make up on your own (which didn’t work out and she wanted to do it herself), you were sitting in front of the girl, legs crossed as she did the perfect line on your eyelid, once in a while stealing a glance of your bra.
“think about me if things are shitty with potter, yeah?” her smile made you roll eyes jokingly. “okayy, let’s take a quick pic of the masterpiece and go.” she quickly grabbed the camera from a shelf, snapped a picture of you, and her in the mirror, and left the room shortly after.
you remember the look james gave you, when he finally noticed you came back. he didn’t know if it was just him, but you looked like you could compete with world-level models. seeing you like that caused his heart to do a flip. just when he was about to walk up to you, sirius found his place somewhere next to you, close enough to sent james a signal to back off.
potter instantly assumed that there had to be something between the two of you, mostly by how touchy sirius would become whenever you were around, having his arm thrown around your shoulders or always somehow embracing your waist. and stealing his best friend’s girlfriend was the last thing he ever wanted to do, even if he felt he clicked with you.
as soon as sirius handed you the red cup filled with a liquid you assumed was alcohol, you let yourself forget about the whole thing with james. chugging down the cup as fast as you only could, trying to win the little competition with the black boy.
few hours later, when the entire party began to die down, james was trying to get to his dorm, completely sober, but then he noticed you sitting on the stairs, your knees and palms covered in blood. “shit.” he mumbled under his breath, debating in his mind if he should just walk the other way around or help you, and…
“what… happened?” he sat beside you, his stomach doing few more flips, seeing how your face lightened up at the sound of his voice. “y/n could you talk to me?”
“i fell down the stairs.” you grimaced, head leaned against his shoulder. “one of the seventh years suggested i should go to my own room, but i couldn’t move, ‘cos it hurts.” the grimace was replaced by a pout.
a sigh left his mouth as he picked you up, without saying a word — he believed it’d be easier to help you, and immediately leave than if he’d started a conversation with you. the whole walk to your dorm was silent, none of you hadn’t even let out a whimper until you were seated on your bed, while james tried to take proper care of your scrapped knees.
“are you mad at me?” you whispered softly, tilting your head to the side to get a better look at him. the sadness in your tone made his heart clutch. “why aren’t you speaking then? we hardly even talked today.” you added, when he just shook his head.
“i don’t want to do something, both of us might regret later.” his reply was strange, did he really think you’d regret anything that includes him in any way?
after that, the room remained silent — wordlessly, james handed you clothes that seemed like a good pyjamas material and turned away while you shamelessly changed. “can you stay with me?” you asked, stopping him in his tracks.
“of course.”
he laid down beside you, his eyes focused on the ceiling above. “have you ever thought how would your life looked like if you stayed in england?” the question left his mouth swiftly. “or if you never got back, do you think you’d fall out of touch with sirius?”
“there’s always a possibility that could happen, but i don’t think so, you know.” you answered, shifting on the mattress to see that he was already looking at you. “however, there were times when i thought he would throw away all those years of friendship.”
his curious gaze made you continue. “two years ago, he told me all about his plans with you. that you’d live together, far enough from his parents to not be threatened by them, but close enough to visit your parents every weekend. it sounds funny now, but all those plans — the apartment somewhere in the southern london, traveling and other stuff were exactly what we’d planned before i was forced to leave. that’s the only letter from sirius i didn’t keep. i couldn’t, it was a sign that the friendship wouldn’t last forever, so i burned it.” you shrugged, laying the fluffy blanket on top of your bodies. “i really wanted to hate you for this all those years, you know? but you seemed too fun to do so, coming here just made me more certain.” that was the first time in the whole evening that you’ve heard him laugh, feeling as if his normal self was coming back to you.
“look where we ended up.” the smile on his face was contagious. you beamed, laughing. you were so jealous of james two years earlier, and now you didn’t want him to leave the warm sheets of your bed. his face was getting so close to yours, you let yourself think he wanted to kiss you for a moment. maybe it was just the intoxication? “i don’t know where this might go, so i’m gonna say it know. i want us to stay on friends basis, please.”
and with those words it was your time to turn silent, acting sleepy to make him think you were about to drift off to sleep. “don’t worry, that’s what i wanted too.” you muttered with your eyes closed.
from that moment on, you hardly even spent time with james anymore, always finding an excuse to bail out if someone even suggested that you should hangout with them. the way you two acted was growing suspicious, and who would remus be if he didn’t notice?
“you’re sulking.” lupin retorted, when it was only james and he in their dorm, both pretending to not paying attention to one another. “care to elaborate? it’s been a month since you got so grumpy.”
“you won’t tell sirius?” potter tilted his head to the side, putting away the magazine he was reading and looked directly at his friend, who shook his head. “it’s about y/n.”
“so? you seemed to get along well when she got here.” remus frowned. “i mean-, you’re right, but then there was the party in october and uh, we almost kissed. i wanted to kiss her, but i quite panicked.” the seeker explained, making the werewolf to deepen his frown. “james, i swear to god what have you done?”
but remus already know. marlene had told him a few days after the party that the two lovebirds were drifting away, and prongs was definitely the reason of the sudden change in their dynamics. until now, he was just looking for a chance to speak with him about it.
“i said i wanted to keep it on friends basis, she rarely talks to me ever since.” he sighed, turning down the volume of the radio. “i really wanted to keep talking to her without breaking sirius’ heart if something between us happened.”
“wait.” the frown was now an unchanging part of remus’ face. “why do you think you’d possibly break pads’ heart if you started dating y/n?” lupin shifted on his bed, yet to connect all the dots.
james grimaced at the thought of his response, wasn’t it obvious? “well, it’s against the brocode to steal someone’s girlfriend, isn’t it?” upon hearing that, remus choked on water, confusing his friend even more.
“prongs.” the blonde boy laughed, making his way towards the other boy. “i believe that if you started dating y/n, sirius would be far from heartbroken, and he wouldn’t consider you a girlfriend thief.” another bursts of laughter escaped from between lupin’s lips as he clutched his stomach. “if you’d like to break his heart, you’d have to steal someone else, not a girl he considers a sister.”
all remus regretted that moment was that he left his camera at lily’s, so he was unable to capture the funniest expression on james’ face, he has ever seen. “you should really talk to her, to at least explain yourself.” he squeezed his friend’s knee in reassurance, before james stood up. “i’d look for her in marl’s dorm, if i were you.” he hinted, disappearing behind bathroom’s doors.
you sat on marlene’s bed with dorcas right next to you, her arm thrown around your shoulder as you drunk the wine, she bought specifically for that evening. it happened to be the day, when girls had their weekly girls’ night, so mckinnon thought you should tagged along.
the knocking on the door interrupted lily’s story about remus and hers trip to edinburgh last summer, and the one hot girl she met back then. “hey, is y/n there?” james’ voice rang loudly in the room, giving you shivers. you couldn’t have a day without thinking of him, could you?
marlene flashed you a look, before looking back at him. “i don’t know, do you think she’d like to talk to you?” she crossed arms at her chest, watching the rosing confusion on his face, before you appeared in the view, ruining the whole scary girl gig. “we’ll be right here, love.” she nudged you lightly as you walked out of the room, closing the door behind you.
“heard you were looking for me…?” you asked, muscles stiff at the thought of being one on one with him. “can we do it quickly? my wine’s bottle is probably emptied by dorcas now.” you chuckled, trying to sound as calm as you only could.
“i don’t want to be friends anymore.” his confession made your heart twitch. the alcohol running in your veins almost made you vulnerable in front of him. the sigh that left your mouth was his signal to realize you misunderstood him. “you really came up here to tell me that?”
it was getting pretty bad, and james knew, there was one thing he could do that wouldn’t mess up what he wanted to tell you. hands flew to your cheeks, cupping them with his palms as leaned in to kiss you. it was definitely unexpected — but you couldn’t resist him, the thing you’ve wanted so bad, finally came true. james’ lips on yours.
he took his time before pulling away, and when he did, you were reminded that there was world beside him. all the misery you were in was long gone, just by seeing the smile on his face. “i’m sorry.” the seeker began, his eyes tracing around your face but not stopping on your eyes once. “i misinterpreted the relationship between you and padfoot, and it got all messy in my head. i thought you two were… you know, a thing.”
a quiet chuckle escaped from between your lips, caressing his cheek gently with a thumb, involuntarily smiling at his vivid embarrassment. “james,” you spoke out softly, amusement still audible in your tone. “hypothetically, if sirius and i were a thing, would i really invite you to spend time in my room, one on one, always suggesting that you should stay overnight? you, my hypothetical boyfriend’s best friend?”
“well, i haven’t thought about it.” he shrugged, smile tugging on his face. “nonetheless, i’m taking you on a date, but don’t tell sirius. i’m sure he’s going to kill me for hitting up on you.” james scoffed, hair getring ruffled by his fingers.
“when did i agree on going on a date with you?” you asked, biting back a smile, at the same time trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach. “don’t worry, i’ve never told on a cute boy before.”
he opened his mouth to reply, but marlene opened the door and snatched you inside, before you could even react, her action earning a few laughs in response. “excuse me, lover boy, but the time is up!” the blonde laughed, visibly tipsy, and disappeared behind the door.
now, james potter had two things to do — figure out where should he take you out, and how to tell his best friend that he wants to date his childhood best friend.

✯FOREIGN FANCY ✯
—✯
Summary: when you traveled from France to Scotland, you didn’t imagine to meet the charming Sirius Black.
Warnings: None, it’s just fluffy.
Authors note: so I lost the request, but this was a requested fic! Excuse my French, it’s not the best but I tried, enjoy!
—✯
“OI, PRONGS, CHECK IT OUT.” Sirius said, excitement in his tone as he scooted next to James. The school was all gathered together in the great hall for lunch, and no one missed the new girl who was sorted promptly into Gryffindor this morning at the sorting ceremony, as a 6th year. “The new 6th year. She’s in our potions class too, and sat next to Evan’s and McKinnon.” Sirius wiggled his eyebrows, nudging James as he looked over at the new girl with excitement. You was now sitting with Lily Evan’s again, your face lighting up with all of the gossip Lily was sure to be telling you.
“Yeah, what about her?” James asked, raising an eyebrow at Sirius’ excitement. “Didn’t she transfer in from Beauxbatons?”
“She did.” Sirius replied, elbowing James with a teasing excitement.
“A foreign girl, go for it Pads.” James said, patting Sirius on the back causing Remus to roll his eyes.
“You are both dogs.” He grumbled, making Sirius scoff.
“Oh, what you want her Moony?” He teased, turning to see Remus with a smirk on his face.
“What if I do?”
“Back off she’s mine!” Sirius barked, taking one of Remus’ dinner rolls and throwing it at him. Remus huffed with annoyance, rolling his eyes as he turned to Sirius.
“She’s a new student Sirius, I’m sure she’s already anxious enough. She doesn’t need you making it worse.” He explained, but Sirius had already been making his way out of his seat.
“Too late, I’m already introducing myself.” Sirius said, quickly making his way over to where the girls were sitting. You had gotten up from her seat, walking toward the back of the room to probably get ready for your next class. So of course, Sirius followed you out.
“You can do this Padfoot!” James called after him, giving Sirius a surge of confidence. He leant against the wall behind you, fixing his hair before greeting you.
“Bonjour mademoiselle.” He flirted, causing the new girl to turn to him, an excited glimmer on her face when she heard the French he spoke.
“Ah, bonjour monsieur. Enchantée, Je m’appelle y/n. Parles-vous francais?” (Ah, hello Mr. Nice to meet you, my name’s y/n. You speak French?) you greeted in response, Sirius face immediately dropping as he blushed, laughing nervously to himself.
“Ha, I don’t actually speak French. I just know bonjour and mademoiselle.” He said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. You couldn’t help but giggle at his adorableness, making him smile at you in response.
“That’s quite alright. Lucky for you I speak English as well.” You replied, a sweet smile on your face that made Sirius melt.
“Very lucky for me. So you’re a Gryffindor eh?” He asked, referring to your new robes that you wore.
“Seems so. I guess I brought my courage with me to Hogwarts.”
“That’s not all, my friend Peter’s barely courageous at all and he got in.” Sirius said nonchalantly, causing you to raise an eyebrow at him.
“That’s a very odd thing to say about your friend.” You questioned, making him shrug in response.
“Eh, he wouldn’t mind. I’m Sirius by the way.” He introduced, holding his hand out as you took his hand.
“Y/n. It’s a pleasure.” You said, shaking his hand. He leant down slightly, placing a chaste kiss on the back of your hand.
“The pleasure is all mine.” He replied, a deep blush now burning on your cheeks.“I don’t suppose you need a friendly face to show you around the building?” He asked, making you turn to where Lily sat at the table.
“Actually, Lily Evan’s already offered to..”
“Eh, she won’t mind.” He interrupted, linking your arm with his. It took you by surprise as he led you both out the door. “Over here, my favorite, we have the one-eyed witch statue. I didn’t tell you this, but this exact statue leads to the cellars underneath honeydukes.” He whispered, causing you to raise your eyebrows at him with surprise, making you giggle at his excitement while describing the school. As the journey continued he made sure to tell you about all of his adventures, reminiscing on when he and James snuck out with the invisibility cloak, or when they first discovered the spider cave just outside the forbidden Forest. Sirius had managed to convince McGonagal to let you miss the day of classes to get accustomed to the castle. The marauders were outside for beasts class, both Remus and James rolling their eyes when they spotted you clinging to sirius’ back as he took you on a tour around the outskirts of Hogwarts, on his broom.
“He’s totally whipped.” Remus replied, throwing a few pellets of food to the niffler in front of him. James rolled his eyes, nodding in agreement as he lifted the niffler, attempting to take back the coins it stole from him.
“Oh yeah. Totally whipped.” James grumbled, failing to take back his coins, and instead getting knocked on his feet as the niffler shoved a few more of James’ loose change in his pocket.

The chill of the Hogwarts corridors pricked Y/N’s skin as she wandered, her eyes scanning the dimly lit stone walls that seemed to stretch endlessly. In her hand, she clutched a scrap of parchment with scribbled directions. But, after following the fifth staircase that didn’t lead where she’d hoped, her shoulders slumped, and she muttered under her breath, “Où est la salle de Potions?” Her French accent echoed softly against the walls, swallowed quickly by the vastness of the castle.
As an exchange student from Beauxbatons, everything about Hogwarts seemed strange and mysterious to her. The enchantments, the moving staircases, the ghostly figures floating down the halls—it all made her feel like a small, lost bird in a forest she didn’t yet understand. Y/N took a deep breath, hoping to still the nervous fluttering in her stomach. She wished she could ask for help, but her English was messy at best, and she felt out of place in the sea of unfamiliar faces.
Just as she turned a corner, her eyes landed on a figure leaning against a wall not far from her. He wore the same dark green Slytherin robes as she did, and his pale skin and dark hair made him stand out starkly against the stone. He looked deep in thought, his gaze focused on something distant—until her approaching footsteps drew his attention.
Severus Snape's eyes flicked to her with mild interest, quickly masked by his usual guarded expression. Y/N hesitated, the words jumbled on her tongue, but she forced herself to speak, “Excusez-moi... où est... non, um... where is…” she trailed off, floundering for words.
Severus’s brow furrowed, and he pushed himself upright, crossing his arms as he looked at her with a mixture of impatience and curiosity. “Are you lost?” he asked, his voice low and clipped.
Relieved that he’d spoken first, Y/N nodded quickly. “Yes, I… am… lost.” She frowned, trying to find the words. “Potion class? Uh… où est…” She muttered the phrase again, hoping he’d understand.
A slight smirk tugged at the corner of Severus’s mouth. “I don’t speak French,” he said, a hint of amusement lacing his words. He looked at her, puzzled, clearly debating if he should help or walk away.
Realizing he didn’t understand her, Y/N made a frustrated noise, pressing a hand to her forehead as she thought of another way to communicate. Finally, she pointed at herself, then gestured as if she were mixing ingredients in a cauldron. “Potion… class?” she attempted, looking at him with an expectant smile, hoping he’d understand.
The corner of Severus’s mouth twitched, but he quickly suppressed it. There was something oddly endearing about her determined expressions, her fumbling words. “Potions class?” he repeated slowly, arching an eyebrow.
She brightened, nodding enthusiastically. “Oui! Yes, yes. Potions class!”
Sighing, he motioned down the corridor. “It’s this way,” he said simply, his tone dry. He started walking, but Y/N trailed after him, her face lighting up with relief as she struggled to keep pace with his long strides. He was quiet, his footsteps echoing alongside hers, and every now and then, he glanced at her, watching the way she marveled at every detail in the castle—the flickering torches, the ancient tapestries, the way the suits of armor shifted as they passed.
Finally, they reached the Potions classroom, its door looming large and dark. Severus stopped and turned to her, crossing his arms once more. “Here it is,” he said, a hint of satisfaction in his voice. “You managed to find it, despite…” he trailed off, choosing his words carefully. “Despite not quite speaking the language.”
Y/N smiled, a slight blush coloring her cheeks. “Merci,” she replied softly, clutching her books to her chest. “Thank you… ah… Monsieur?”
“Snape,” he said, a touch of irritation at the formality, though he couldn’t deny he found it slightly charming. “Severus Snape.”
She repeated his name, her French accent wrapping around it warmly, making it sound almost musical. “Severus,” she said slowly, as if savoring each syllable. She gave him a small, shy smile. “Je suis Y/N.”
“Y/N,” he repeated, testing the unfamiliar name. He looked away quickly, feeling a strange warmth spread through him. “It’s... a unique name,” he muttered, mostly to himself.
For the next few weeks, Y/N often found herself in Severus’s company. Whether it was coincidental or his subtle influence, she wasn’t sure, but he seemed to linger in the places she frequented: the library, the potions classroom, the hallways between classes. With his help, she began to piece together words and phrases in English, and though he rarely smiled, his dry wit and the patience he showed her started to draw her closer.
One afternoon, they sat in the library, books piled high around them. She struggled over an English sentence in her Potions textbook, her brow furrowing as she tried to make sense of the words. “How… does one say... this?” she asked, looking up at him helplessly.
He leaned closer, pointing to the words. “It’s ‘boil the roots for exactly ten minutes,’” he said, his tone almost gentle, despite its usual seriousness.
“Boil…” she repeated, testing the word, before letting out a frustrated sigh. “English is… compliqué.”
A soft chuckle escaped Severus, surprising both of them. He looked at her, his usual mask slipping for just a moment. “Yes, well,” he murmured, “I suppose French is no easier.” His gaze softened as he watched her pout, her lips pursing in concentration. For a brief moment, he wondered what it would be like to reach out, to take her hand in his.
The days turned into weeks, and Y/N and Severus’s friendship blossomed. She often said little phrases in French—words of thanks, greetings, even soft laughter as she tried to make him smile. And each time she did, Severus felt himself slipping deeper, his carefully constructed walls beginning to crumble.
One afternoon, as they walked together through the corridor after Potions class, the Marauders appeared, laughing raucously as they rounded the corner. Severus’s face hardened, and he moved to step aside, hoping to avoid their attention, but it was too late.
“Look who we have here,” James Potter sneered, nudging Sirius. “It’s Snivellus and… oh, a new friend?” His gaze shifted to Y/N, a smirk curling on his lips. “Didn’t know you could make friends, Snivellus.”
Y/N glanced between Severus and the group, confusion flickering in her eyes. Sensing her distress, Severus tried to pull her away, but she resisted, frowning at James. “Pourquoi êtes-vous si méchants?” she said, her voice soft but firm. “Why… you are… mean?” Her broken English made the Marauders snicker, but the determination in her eyes held their attention.
Sirius barked out a laugh. “Oh, and she doesn’t even speak English properly. How fitting.”
Severus’s face flushed with anger, but he quickly stepped in front of her. “I don’t need help from a girl who can barely even speak my language,” he spat, his voice cold. “Just... go back to where you came from.”
The words cut through her like a knife, her heart sinking as she took a step back. Hurt flickered across her face, but she quickly turned away, the sting of rejection burning in her chest. Without a word, she hurried down the hallway, her footsteps quickening as tears pricked her eyes.
Severus watched her go, the regret already forming in his mind. He hated himself for the words he’d said, the hurt he’d seen in her eyes. But he’d been afraid, afraid that if he let her close, they’d turn their cruelty on her, too.
That night, Severus couldn’t sleep. Her absence was a weight on his heart, gnawing at him until he finally rose, his footsteps silent as he made his way to her dorm. He found her sitting by the window, her eyes red-rimmed, clutching a book to her chest.
When she noticed him, she frowned, looking away. “What are you… ici?” she whispered, the hurt still evident in her voice.
He took a step closer, his voice barely above a whisper. “I’m... I’m sorry, Y/N.” The words felt foreign to him, his usual cold demeanor slipping as he spoke. “I didn’t mean it.”
She looked up at him, studying his face, as if trying to decide whether to believe him.
Severus took a shaky breath, the words he’d never dared to say caught in his throat. “I pushed you away… because… because I didn’t want them to hurt you, too. But that’s no excuse. I’m sorry.”
A soft silence settled between them, and then, finally, Y/N’s gaze softened. “Severus… je te pardonne,” she murmured. “I forgive you.”
Overwhelmed with relief, Severus reached for her hand, his fingers brushing against hers. He felt her warmth, grounding him, and in that moment, he realized how deeply he cared for her. Slowly, he leaned closer, his breath catching as he met her gaze.
Then, without thinking, he closed the gap, his lips brushing softly against hers. It was a gentle kiss, filled with all the words he couldn’t say, the warmth he’d kept locked away. When they parted, he found himself smiling, his heart lighter than it had ever been.

I want a fic where Regulus, Evan, and Pandora were originally going to Beauxbatons, or whatever fancy rich French private school and recently transferred to Hogwarts or whatever and it's just a fic telling of their shenanigans of being the hot rich new french kids, eventually with Barty and Dorcas when they get integrated into the gang.
Pandora mostly switching in and out of English and French on her own whims despite whoever she's talking to bc she's a little manic pixie dream girl (/pos) and ends up comforting Dorcas late one night with her chatter because Dorcas finds it hard to sleep (which she eventually ends up bonding with Regulus over) and Pandora trying her best to not blow anything up in potions/chem class after the first time because she "just wanted to know what would happen" and ends up getting partnered with Lily
Evan needing tutoring because he can't focus in class because it's not *interesting* and the teachers use words he doesn't fully understand half the time and so he has to get help from the smartest motherfucker in town, Barty Crouch Jr because Reg will make fun of him if Evan asks him. and Barty, despite Evan thinking that he's probably actually insane half the time, isn't all that bad.
Regulus being a little shit who terrorizes his brother in literally all the ways he possibly could, speaking to Sirius in only french because he knows he hates that, flirting with his brother's friends, getting on the football/ quidditch team, ANYTHING. Even if his flirting turns into something a little more real.
idk, I just think it would be a fun fic idea. Rosier Twins and Regulus dramatically walking through the halls and talking shit in French like the bad bitches they are

Cassandra first appeared in 1890 and later disappeared at the end of the year of study, nobody knows exactly who she is and what's happening to her but then in The year 1914, she appeared again as a newly transferred student from Beauxbatons. remaining youthful and unchanged.
Cassandra's relationship with Agatha and Sebastian is complex. She initially helps bring them together, but as time passes, tensions arise. TREAT OR TREAT BISH!!! 🎃✨
Because anything that comes from you is a treat hehe
Well, well, well. If it isn't chaos angel. You're soo lucky I didn't feel like torturing you today. 😈
You Don't Make Friends With Green Beans.
Or: the new French transfer student gets her “proper Hogwarts welcome” in an unexpected way. A drabble dedicated to Esme Greene, Aurélie's au bestie and brainchild of my bestie @sallowsangel 600~ words, SFW.
'Oi, Greenie!'
Dodging boiled green beans from across the Slytherin table was not how Esme Greene envisioned the beginning of her seventh year to play out, but with a best friend like Sebastian Sallow — whose penchant for being annoying was rivalled only by his inability to sit still for longer than three seconds — one could never guess how even a night as predictable as the Sorting Feast was going to unfold.
In fact, when it came to Sebastian, the only thing Esme could count on with absolute certainty was that he would find a way to annoy her — and tonight, his preferred means of getting under her skin was by flinging beans at her head while she tried futilely to ignore him.
continue below the cut
'Psst, Green Bean! I know you can hear me.'
Esme rolled her eyes as she artfully dodged another bean: the nickname Green, and all the seemingly endless variations of it, had been bestowed upon her one summer after Sebastian had figured out that her full name — Esmeralda Greene — could be roughly translated to Green Green; an unfortunate oversight on her parents behalf, maybe, but more likely a reflection of their desire to continue the family's Slytherin legacy by naming their daughter after their favoured house colour.
Regardless, at just eight years old, and despite her vehement threats that if he didn't stop she'd steal her mother's wand, learn her first hex and turn his hair into snakes, Esme had officially become Green: or Greenie, Green Beans, Grass, Leaf, Treetop or any green-related adjective that popped into Sebastian's head on a whim.
When she had, as expected, been sorted into Slytherin, eleven-year-old Sebastian had laughed gleefully and said, 'With a name like Green Green, it's no wonder you made it in!', to which eleven-year-old Esme had snapped back, 'With a name like Sallow, it's no wonder you're so ugly!', before stomping off to the girls dorm with his twin sister Anne giggling in tow.
Seven years later, seventeen-year-old Esme was still "The Greenliest Gremlin of Greenland", etc — and still perpetually annoyed.
Across the table, smug as ever, Sebastian leaned back and popped a bean into his mouth. 'Ah, well,’ he drawled, crossing his arms behind his head. ‘Guess you're not interested in hearing about the Beauxbatons transfer student, then.’
'The what?' Esme slapped her fists flat on the table and glared at him, her mouth hanging open in shock. ‘Beauxbatons? As in France? What do you know? Tell me right now!’
As if on cue, the enchanted candles above them dimmed, signalling the beginning of the Sorting Ceremony, but as the first years began filing in, Esme's attention was razor sharp on the freckled annoyance sitting opposite her.
Sebastian's smirk widened. ‘Well, well, not so keen to ignore me now, are you?’
'Sebastian Sallow!’ Esme hissed.
‘Green Green!’
‘Tell me right now!’
‘You know, I don't think I will.’
With a swiftness borne from a lifetime of sibling-like rivalry, they each lunged for the last remaining bean on the platter between them. Sebastian, quicker thanks to his years of playing on the Slytherin Quidditch team, snatched it up first and flung it at Esme's face.
Only it didn't hit Esme's face.
As if in slow motion, the bean flew well over her head, soared toward the group of jittery first years and hit a tall, auburn-haired girl smack bang in the middle of her forehead.
A girl neither of them had even seen before —
A girl who was clearly not a first year —
‘Shit.’ Sebastian cowered in his seat as the girl turned slowly to fix him with a deeply offended scowl. ‘That's her,’ he whimpered. ‘That's the new girl.’
